Well, we are back! And what a great way to start.

It is a pleasure to welcome David McLaughlin to our team of collaborators and his first track is fantastic.  It is a beautiful, heartfelt number with a real lilting drive and a melody which really draws you in towards the climax of the song.

We hope you enjoy it as much as us and share it with your friends.

This is a pretty simple track and that was really the aim from the outset for me. In essence the song is about not being listened to, and the frustration that causes so it didn’t seem right to make it complex. The additions from the other guys were incredible, all the touches added were done with such sensitivity and nuance.

Originally the song had no violin and relied more on a heavier guitar driven sound, but the violin became a huge center piece of the track for me. The awesome job Jordan did really adds so much tension and emotion. Plus it makes the Irishman in me happy.

The great thing I’ve found about collaborating like this is each individual voice has the opportunity to be heard, each musician has the space to develop their own ideas and then throw them together in completion. It’s a great way to work, I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on the rest of the tracks this summer. Excited to see what else comes out!
